, it can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint which chakra is imbalanced. You may find that you can relate to one or a few of the problems that occur with each of the imbalanced chakras, and this is because once one chakra is imbalanced it can imbalance one, more or all of the other chakras too, as they work together in perfect motion.
It is best to start looking for constant signals emotionally and physically that relate to each chakra. It is also good to start with balancing the root chakra and work your way up to the crown chakra. Starting with the root chakra is best because balancing and creating free flow in the first three chakras enables health, grounding, stability and safety, before moving onto the last three chakras that are related to intuition, divine connection and higher knowing. The health of the lower chakras are crucial to the health of the upper chakras.
Why do I need to balance my chakras?
Your chakras are the core energies of your body and soul, and are transmitters of the energy that you emit and the receptors of the energy that you receive. The frequency of energy that you are emitting is the frequency that you will attract. Therefore, balancing the chakras and creating a free flow of positive energy will allow you to emit energy at the highest frequencies, and you will attract positive, high frequency energies. Such as other people who have high frequency energy, happiness, abundance, and opportunities etc.
Practices for balancing chakras?
Balance areas of your life - If your life is imbalanced, then your chakras will be imbalanced. Take a good look at your life and pinpoint areas that need more balance, such as eating, relationships, work or money. Trying to work on those areas and bring more balance to your everyday life will help to balance the chakras.
Meditation - Each chakra is associated with a crystal or a colour. Meditation with a particular crystal or imagine the particular colour associated with the chakra you want to balance will help the prana energy flow.
Affirmations - Speaking to your subconscious mind by telling yourself daily positive affirmations can help to balance out any negative energies surrounding a particular chakra.
Visualisation - is a practice where you close your eyes and visualise where you want to be in the future and the person that you want to be, or the best version of yourself. This helps your subconscious mind and chakra energies to align and an emotional response creates changes to the vibrations of energy within your chakras to match the energy of your future self, ultimately manifesting your future visualisation into reality.
Bathing - Fill your bath with hot water and either Himalayan or Epsom salts, then add in oils, herbs, flowers and crystals that correspond to the chakra you want to balance. You can even light the room to the colour that is associated with the chakra you want to balance.
Reiki - You could see a reiki healer who could help to balance your energy centres. They will work with you to establish areas that are blocked by discussing your emotional and physical symptoms.
Sound Healing - Different sound frequencies correspond to certain chakras. Find a sound healer or treat yourself to a gong or singing bowl and let the vibrations from these beautiful sounds clear any blockages and let the prana energy flow freely through the chakras. Or you could chant mantras and use the vibrations of your voice.
Yoga Poses - There are certain yoga poses that help to stretch and heal the physical body that relates to the chakra. These poses also move the energy around the body to help the prana flow freely throughout all of the chakras and get them to work in perfect harmony.
Daily Practice - Balancing the chakras isn't just one or a few healing sessions and then you're balanced for good. You will need to use a combination of these practices daily to maintain a free flow of prana through every chakra in your body for life. Set out some time in every day to carry out your favourite and most effective rituals until they become habits and you will perfect the balancing of your chakras and feel more grounded and enlightened.

Crystals - are supercharged with healing energy. Wearing or meditating with crystals that are aligned with healing energy for a particular chakra will help the prana energy to flow more freely there.
Colours - Wearing a colour, lighting a room a certain colour or imagining a colour while you are carrying out a practice can help to balance the associated chakra.
Aromatherapy - There are certain essential oils that correspond with each chakra to balance and let the prana flow freely through them. You can use candles, incense or oils in a room when relaxing, bathing, chanting, speaking affirmations, meditating or doing yoga.
Herbs - Certain herbs will help to heal and balance associated chakras. These can be used in baths or you could drink a herbal tea whilst carrying out a practice.
Foods & Spices - There are even foods and spices that you can eat to help to balance particular chakras.
Healing Each Chakra
Root Chakra - Survival
Activities - Walk in nature, plant a garden, pay your monthly bills early, slow down, take a hike, hug a tree, feel your roots, clean your house, walk outside with bare feet, take a vacation in nature, Go bird watching, and admire the plants and animals there.
Affirmations - I am here and I am safe. I am nourished and supported. I am safe, protected and guided in this world. I release any doubts and fears. With every breath, I release the anxiety and fear within me.
Yoga Poses - Any balancing poses such as the tree pose, warrior or mountain pose. Wide-legged forward fold or malasana squats.
Colour - Red
Mantra - Lam (vibration of middle c)
Crystals - Red Jasper, Onyx, Hematite, Bloodstone, Garnet, Ruby, Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline

Affirmations - I am living a pleasurable life. I am grateful for the joy of being me. I trust my feelings and given them ample room for expression. I embrace and celebrate my sexuality.
Yoga Poses - Bridge, pigeon, goddess, warrior II or lizard pose.
Colour - Orange
Mantra - Vam (vibration of D note)
Crystals - Carnelian, Tiger’s Eye, Sunstone, Citrine, Orange Calcite, Orange Carneline, Fire Opal, Aragonite.

Mantra - Ram (vibration of C note)

Third Eye Chakra - Intuition
Activities - Just breathe, listen to your inner voice, guess someone's astrological sign, daydream, start a dream journal, pull a tarot card for each day and don't use the manual to find the "meaning" (trust your inner guidance), candle gaze, watch a fantasy film.
Affirmations - I am wise, intuitive, and connected to my inner guidance. I trust my intuition, always. I seek to understand and learn from my life experiences. I am connected to my higher power. I am connected to the wisdom of the Universe. Every situation is an opportunity for growth.

Crown Chakra - Knowing
Activities - Meditate for 10-15 minutes a day, connect with your higher power, listen, trust your inner knowing, connect with others, think dreamy thoughts, practice positive affirmations, pray for yourself and others, write down your goals and ask your higher-self to help you achieve them.
Affirmations - I am divine. I trust my guidance by my divine. I see the divine light in everyone. My spiritual insight is clear. I am open to the abundance and greatness the universe offers. I accept all that comes into my day with trust and selflessness. I am selfless. I honour all others.
